Slip Slide Smack....any which way but straight. The newest wave sail in the Hot Sails Maui family arrives with a serious amount of power and shocking speed off the wind (read down the line!). This power is framed in a ballistic combination of heavy duty laminates & a dampening lower PVC window.

The Slide is ready for the aggressive sailor who is sick of sinking in the line up holding a no power , over twisted, flat as a board bed sheet. Not for the timid sailor.

The Slide is a radical departure from any designs we have offered in the past. The project came up when Maui rider Carter Skemp and designer Jeffrey Henderson decided to play with a new head style which works with an "above the mast" leech outline and the "crossbow batten system". This combination resulted in "T3", or Total Top Twist.

Carter complained, "Jeff, I'm sick of sailing a big flat 5.0m when I used to sail the same wind with my 4.3m! Let's make a new sail!". Jeffrey who enjoys a powerful wave sail himself jumped on the idea. Carter inspired the graphic "look" which is extremely fresh and futuristic. The fact it is for 1999 allowed some radical creative energy to flow into this project.

Performance wise, this sail is more powerful than most and is proving very fast. Wave riding is crisp, and the sail shuts down well on the wave. The sail utilizes a draft placement much further back than conventional sails which actually works great due to the super twisty head. This also explains the exceptional acceleration and top end speed of this unusual freeride wave sail.
