Absolute 100% world cup ready sails. The exact sails Robert Teriitehau developed and
Thierry Bielak and other pros use in competition.
Philippe Massat's latest work is delivered in the
all new Mach 1.1 sails. The huge success of the late release Mach 1 last year has proven
Philippe's reputation as a premier sail designer on the world cup level. After Thierry
Bielak sailed the fastest speed in Fuertaventura in 1996 on a prototype, he confirmed the
production sail's speed at the first PWA speed event of the year with a clear win. Robert
Teriitehau worked all season with Philippe on the new sails and the biggest improvements
come in the large sizes and new 8.9 meter.
The Mach 1.1 follows closely in the Mach 1's path. One less batten, and a trimmed head are
the most noticeable changes. Construction changes include all 175 Monofilm*, Crossbow
batten system, and a slightly more tapered sleeve. The feel remains similar to the
fantastic Mach 1 (which we will also supply all this season as well) and the large sizes
are more focused on lightwind racing, and less on overpowered slalom sailing.
