Lightweight and extremely durable - the new Spiderlok Wave is the
result of five continuous years of tireless research and development.
Already the lightest wave sail in the world, the Spiderlok Wave now adds
finesse and a dramatic increase in durability to its already famous lightweight
free sailing abilities.
Sail designer Jeffrey Henderson worked closely with professional riders
Carter Skemp and Jennifer Gately to perfect this latest Spiderlok Wave sail.
Jennifer has already won the last three wave contests on Maui using this
sail and considers it part of her uncontested success.
Durability was the main focus of these fine-tuned foils. Maui based service
manager Tom Hammerton helped design the new "fan" patch reinforcing
and web layout to withstand the bashing of the meanest waves and rocks alike.
"Its improved strength to weight ratio yields the lightest handling
sail with
increased durability in the most critical areas." Tom should know,
he repairs over 1000 sails of all makes and models each year.
A large part of Jeffrey's 150-plus days of sailing last year were on the
prototypes of these final sails. They are also Jeffrey's personal choice
for his free sailing. "I am a lazy sailor and love the incredible lightness
of these sails, they keep me sailing longer with more
energy."
